Awesome Spot

This hostel was really great, I got to meet a lot of people. Barcelona is a beautiful city, it’s really big and spread out. There is a lot to see and a lot of places to explore. The hostel had great staff, if you ever needed anything you could just ask and they would do their best to help you out or make you feel at home. I liked how the staff knew quite a few different languages, that made it more interesting. It was great that they offered breakfast, it wasn’t much, but for a student traveling it was perfect! The bathrooms were a bit small for having so many people on one floor, but other then that, my stay was wonderful, everyone was very welcoming.

This is how hostels should be

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of August and had an amazing time. The location is perfect, right on la ramblas. The staff are all really friendly and helpful especially Marta at reception. There are so many different languages spoken by the staff which is really helpful if you don’t speak great spanish or english.

The rooms are big and the common area is great, met loads of new people and had a really fun time on the bar crawl the hostel organises

Overall would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun few days in Barca

Cheap & convenient for young backpackers

The hipstel was my first time staying at a hostel. I was worried about the cleanliness since I was told it was mostly young people. But the staff & the guests were on top of their own messes. I liked the fact that they offered a decent dinner with a beer for 5€, different every night. Breakfast was exceptional as well. The hostel is very central & friendly staff wiling to help you out with anything possible. Will definitely be going back.

Nice stay

Although the staff mixed up our room numbers and sent us to the wrong rooms twice and the breakfast was a little small it was a lovely stay. The interior is beautiful and the bathrooms are very good. They offered us a safe where we could put our personal belongings while we explored the city. Very nice people!

The coolest hostel I’ve been too in the perfect location!

I was only there for 2 nights and stayed in a private room but found the hostel super trendy, funky and cool. There was always cool music playing in the common areas and the staff were all very friendly and having fun. Our beds were very comfy considering its a hostel – I had worse in some hotels through Europe! They offer awesome advice and tips on the city and sightseeing aswell as a free walking tour. They really are happy to help with anything. They also stored our luggage for free the day we arrived and the day we left. The location is PERFECT. we walked everywhere. The common areas were cool, people would always hang out around there and I met some great people. I had a fabulous experience and cannot wait to go back! Thank you Hipstel!

Lots of space – great location

I had an awesome time at the Hipstel – the staff are friendly and always helpful at the main desk, the dinners were suprisingly good each night, and best of all the rooms were well-maintained with lots of space and regular cleaning. The hostel has a lot of bedrooms as well – it´s a big hostel. It´s location is priceless, right between Passeig de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya and this proved to be my favourite part about staying at the Hipstel. The staff are always keen to give you tips on eateries and directions as well.

Clean, perfect location! The owner is really great, and his attitude is passed down to all his employees.

Rooms are nice. Wifi was not great… But not the worst either. Comida for 5€ each night as a nice touch… And free breakfast? Again, the location was really good to be able to do both touristy stuff, and then foodie and beach stuff. Overall, would stay again if I was back in Barcelona!

The Hipstel is worth it:)

It exceed my expectations. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms. There were plenty of bathrooms so I never had to wait on one. Also they have a female shower only along with the other coeds. The location could not be better!!! Downtown Barcelona a couple minutes walk away from plaza Catalunia. I highly recommend this hostel!!

Exactly what we wanted

Clean, reasonable price for its location which is really central. Staff were really friendly and let us stay a little when we were hung over!! Also let you leave bags there before and after your check in/out. Good lockers- but need your own lock.
