The best place to stay in Barcelona, great location, great staff and very friendly guests. The only thing this place lacks is a good internet connection. The place has decent amount of restaurants in the vicinity, a metro station about 3-4 mins walk away and 15 mins walk to Plaza Catalunya
This hostel is great, the supper is a great deal, and breakfast is nicer than the usual hostel breakfast. The terrace is nice, and if you’re in room 210, its even nicer! The workers are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are clean. I left Barcelona for two weeks during my travels and when I returned I went right back to the Hipstel.
As soon as I arrived in Hipstel, I was warmly welcomed. Feels like a familiar place where you’re comfortable to be yourself right away. The place is flowing with young and friendly staff who are ready to help in any way possible-to make you comfortable and also provide information about things to do in the city. The most favourite thing about this hostel’s that it’s situated in the heart of the city-just a walking distance away from the famous Casa de Battlo by Antoni Gauidi, The Sagrada Família, Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece, Rambla catalunha among many other attractions. All in all, the breakfast, for just 3 Euros, was nutritious and filling, dinner was cheap and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Hot water is available 24/7. There is a common/breakfast chill out zone close to the reception. The only downside is that wifi is not strong in the rooms, as you can only get full connectivity in the reception area and the breakfast/lounge room. Worth staying in.
Everyone (staff and guests) was super friendly and helpful. They offer cheap breakfast in the morning (not spectacular, but better than nothing!). I was also pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious everything was, considering the relatively cheap price! Thanks!
Very Good experience during The weekend, alot of fun, and live concert, the Hostel is in the city Center and have a very Good connection between the metro and also the aerobus. Is near to rambla catalunha and also to museums
Cozy, friendly, great atmosphere. Great location, right in the center and closed to everything. highly recommend! The staff were very helpful and the explained a lot about the city. I wish we could stay there more nights!
The hostel hipstel is really cool for young people if ur travelling alone you’ll find a lot of things to do and also friendly staffs, if they can they will invited you for a beer for sure :) good location super good atmosphere, they have a meal every night for a good price if your too lazy to cock your own food .. I’ll back to this hostel!! Thanks guys. Jean Pablo
We stayed in the hipstel during our hangover-like trip to Barcelona and really enjoyed it. You are in every cool place you like within a 15 minute footwalk, taxiride or by public transport. I´ve seen a lot of hostels around the world, hipstel is one of my favourites!
The Hipstel is located in the center of Barcelona, 10-15 minutes walking to Placa Catalunya from where you can get a bus to the airport, metro, train, or buses to all the other corners of Barcelona. It has nice friendly employees and it is clean. On the negative side, they mixed my booking and I had to move from one room to another, and in the actual; room there was another girl who moved in 2 other rooms before ending up in the right room. And also the bed was the nosiest bed i have ever slept in. It was creaking even when I was only touching it. All in all it is a great place to stay!
A lovely clean and friendly hostel in the heart of the city, round the corner from Passeig de Gràcia and only a short, but very interesting walk from Las Ramblas. You walk past Casa Mila if you turn right out of the hostel, then right again. They even recommend some excellent nights out, even at other rival hostels. I had a fantastic night watching local flamenco dancers and drinking very large, very cheap home made cocktails. Hoping to return very soon. ps I did all this in low season, so looking forward to hi season giddyness
