Can I Modify my booking dates?
Yes you can! If the original arrival date is 48hs before you modify it, you can do it free of charge. If the original arrival date is within 48hs, a cancelation policy will apply. For more information, you can send an email to email@example.com
Does any fee apply if I cancel My booking?
If you cancel your booking on time (2 days in advance of your arrival) you won’t have to pay any kind of fee or penalty except from the 20% deposit no refund paid in advance. If you cancel a booking after 2 days of the arrival date, the total of the first night will be charged. If you don’t show up we will charge the first night. Do I need to print my booking confirmation letter?
No, you do not need to print your booking confirmation letter. Here at The Hipstel we are trying to create an enviroment-caring society. The change is up to us! The earth will thank you and so will we…
Can I check in at night?
Yes you can! We have our reception open 24/7. If your booking is confirmed, your bed will be waiting for you as long as you need
Is there a place where I can store my stuff until check in time?
Yes, there is! We have a free-of-charge luggage room where you can storage your stuff until your room is ready and, in the day of check out, you can use it again to storage your stuff until you leave Barcelona.
Are the rooms and bathrooms gender differenced?
Yes, they are! We know that some guests feel more comfortable sharing facilities with their own gender and that is why here at The Hipstel we offer mixed dorms and showers and female only dorms and showers.
Do I need to bring my own bed sheet and towel?
No, you don´t need to! Bed sheets are included in the price and towels can be rented for only €2
Does the Hipstel a curfew?
No, we have no curfew! We know that Barcelona is well known for its lively nightlife and that is why we expect you to arrive at any time, you are always welcome here at The Hipstel!
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, there is. Children (under 16 years old) are not allowed, travelers from 16 to 18 years old need an authorization from their families and people over 50 years old are not suitable for our kind of hostel. This is not an actual “restriction” but a way to avoid an uncomfortable situation for guests and hostel management.
Will I be able to cook my own food?
Yes, you will! We have a common kitchen open from 11am until 22:30pm. There are fridges where you can storage your stuff and, if you don´t feel like cooking, you can always join us in our dinners, which are made with love for travelers that wants to save and share!
Is there a safe place to lock up my personal belongings?
Yes, there is! Every dorm in the Hostel is equipped with security lockers which you can use for free. Bring your padlock or get one for only €3.99 at the reception!
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed. Even though we love animals, the cleanliness of the hostel is vital to preserve a healthy and cozy atmosphere.
Is there a student discount?
Yes, there is! If you are part of the Erasmus Programme, you can enjoy a %5 discount!
Does the staff speak my language?
There are big chances! Our receptionists and cleaning staff can speak Spanish, English, French, Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, German and Portuguese!
Can I choose my room / bed?
You can choose your room type! This means that you can decide if you are going to share your sleep with men and women or just women (if you are a woman, of course ;)). Once in the room, our staff will show you which bed options you have (upper or lower bunk bed) and you can take the one that suits better for you.
Can I hire services through the front desk?
Yes, you can! If you need to book a taxi to the airport, a ticket to see a football match of our pearl, the FC Barcelona or just sightseeing our multi-cultural city through the Panoramic Bus (Highly recommended for a short-term stay) you can ask information and get the tickets at the reception of The Hipstel. No service charge!
Is a driver's licence a valid ID?
Yes it is if you are an European citizen. If you are not, you will be requested to show us a passport or another valid ID.
Am I obligated to share my email address if I am asked to?
No, you are not obligated. However, in order to provide you with a very useful service, email addresses are requested to send you basic information about us (promotions and offers), about your booking (details of payment and invoicing) and about the city (tips for a pleasant stay).
