Want to know what can be done close to the hostel?
Shopping, dining, fashion, design and more are all just steps away from The Hipstel, in the heart of Barcelona
Visitors to Barcelona should know about some of the interesting history of the neighbourhood in which the hostelThe Hipstel is housed . The Eixample neighbourhood was created back in the mid-nineteenth century (1860) by architect Ildefonso Cerda, during the massive growth of the city that seemed to have no limit. This geometric design that joins the old city of Barcelona’s Gracia neighborhoods in the east, San Andrés in the north, and Sants in the south was delicately planned for the future, ie the present day.
We only stayed for one night but it was a very nice hostel. The location was great very close to the center and some of the sights. The staff is very nice as well. The bathrooms could be better and a power plug or two per room more would be great.
I had a really good time in barcelona, one of the good things was the hipstel hostel, it was clean, the staff member were very friendly and helpful, you can ask them everything and they will help you as good as they can. good job! and girls, the bathroom is so cute. XD if you want to go on a place where you can meet some nice guy go there and have an excellent time there. Have fun.
That was a wonderful time to enjoy Barcelona in the Hipstel. I really love the friendly environment here and warm welcoming Hisptel staff. Nice garden, kitchen and living room. Highly recommended for global travelers!
When you stay in hostels you expect simple budget accommodation at an affordable price. This is the model that has worked for many a traveller over decades. What separates good hostels from bad are hostels like The Hipstel. I stayed here with a groups of friends in October 2013 whilst on a stag do in Barcelona. The rooms are very simple but clean and secure. The communal areas are also clean and well equipped. We had an excellent stay at this hostel, the staff where always happy to help and we found them very friendly. I have stayed in a lot of hostel around the world and this is definitely one of the best. Good work people!
The staff member we spoke to at check in was so helpful, we lost my girlfriends phone on the plane and she didn’t hesitate to help us find the number we needed which resulted in us relocating the phone! The hostel is really nicely decorated and furnished with quirky pieces of art and furniture all around! The location was ideal as it is a 15 minute walk to Plaza de Catalunya and 20 minutes to the Ramblas and 20 minutes from the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia. Overall a really good stay and we wouldn’t hesitate on coming back
Cool hostel, location and personal. Very friendly and helpful staff who make you feel immediately welcome. The bedrooms on the street are noisy, but is ok.. There should be more plugs…
The Hipstel is in a prime location, access to the airport is so simple and is within walking distance of most major tourist attractions. The staff are super friendly and helpful, everybody is made to feel welcome. Unlimited free coffee and a good quality breakfast, we would definitely return in the future!
